Art in the Age artist Thom Lessner, of David Lee Nagel shirt fame, is back at the proverbial drawing board! This time, it's a new parody-illustration of Mayor Michael Nutter, the new political face of Philadelphia, set against a backdrop of our Brotherly and Lovely cityscape.
And what's that I spy? A portrait of Hall & Oates on a building in the background?! Oh, hell yes.
Lessner created the illustration for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corportation. It is featured on tote bags for the annual convention of The Association of Alternative Newsweeklies that commenced yesterday in Philly. Over 500 journalists will attend the event!
