BEEP-BOOP BEEP-BOOP: Ben Woodward Exhibition Opens On The West Coast!

Tomorrow night, Ben Woodward's first West Coast solo exhibition will open at Carmichael Gallery for Contemporary Art in West Hollywood, California!

The show features new gouache paintings, ink on paper, and silkscreen prints exploring thoughts and issues arising from Ben's transition to fatherhood. Beep-boop Beep-boop, the title of the exhibition, refers to how Ben and his wife, Chi Kim, perceive the tirelessness curiosity of their young daughter.

The dark side of innocence and the inherent and impending peril of youth are themes in this body of work. Using animals, as well as his signature ungendered characters, Ben's new work for this show continues along fantastical, narrative paths.

For all of you West Coasters, I envy your ability to be there in person this Saturday, March 8th from 8 pm to midnight. The exhibition runs from March 8th to March 30th.

For us non-West-Hollywoodians, there is still good news. Sullivan's Solo, a new children's book illustrated by Ben, will be premiering this year on Free News Projects!
