Matt Coors was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University ofCincinnati in 2002, went on to help his brother Paulfound the independent Cincinnati art gallery Publicoin January of 2003, and spent the next three and ahalf years helping to run the gallery. He iscurrently pursuing a Master's degree in Visual Art atthe University of California, San Diego, and can oftenbe found reading, playing his guitar, or cooking upideas for works of art that reference animals,vestigial superstitions, and the Kraken.
